El sistema de los números reales es un conjunto no vacío $\mathbb{R}$ dotado de dos operaciones internas, adición y multiplicación:
\begin{align}
(+): \; & \mathbb{R} \times \mathbb{R} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}\
& (a,b) \rightarrow a+b
\end{align}
\begin{align}
(\cdot): \; & \mathbb{R} \times \mathbb{R} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}\
& (a,b) \rightarrow a \cdot b
\end{align}
y la relación de orden $>$ que satisface los axiomas:
- Axiomas para la adición
- Si $a \in \mathbb{R}$ y $b \in \mathbb{R}$ entonces $a + b \in \mathbb{R}$
- $a + b = b + a, \; \forall \, a,b \in \mathbb{R}$
- $(a + b) + c = a + (b + c), \; \forall \, a,b,c \in \mathbb{R}$
- $\exists ! \, 0 \in \mathbb{R} \: / \; a + 0 = 0 + a = a, \; \forall \, a \in \mathbb{R} $
- $\forall \, a \in \mathbb{R}, \exists ! \, (-a) \in \mathbb{R} \: / \; a + (-a) = (-a) + a = 0$
- Axiomas para la multiplicación
- Si $a \in \mathbb{R}$ y $b \in \mathbb{R}$ entonces $a \cdot b \in \mathbb{R}$
- $a \cdot b = b \cdot a, \; \forall \, a,b \in \mathbb{R}$
- $(a \cdot b) \cdot c = a \cdot (b \cdot c), \; \forall \, a,b,c \in \mathbb{R}$
- $\exists ! \, 1 \in \mathbb{R} \: / \; a \cdot 1 = 1 \cdot a = a, \; \forall \, a \in \mathbb{R} $
- $\forall \, a \in \mathbb{R}-{0}, \exists ! \, \left(\dfrac{1}{a}\right) \in \mathbb{R} \: / \; a \cdot \left(\dfrac{1}{a}\right) = \left(\dfrac{1}{a}\right) \cdot a = 1$
- Axiomas distributivas
Si $a,b,c \in \mathbb{R}$ entonces- $a(b + c) = a \cdot b + a \cdot c$
- $(b + c)a = b \cdot a + c \cdot a$
- Axiomas de igualdad
Para $a,b,c \in \mathbb{R}$:- Dicotomía: $a = b \; \vee \; a \ne b$
- Reflexividad: $a = a$
- Simetría: $a = b \rightarrow b = a$
- Transitividad: $a = b \; \wedge \; b = c \rightarrow a = c$
- Si $a = b \rightarrow a + c = b + c , \quad \forall \, c \in \mathbb{R}$
- Si $a = b \rightarrow a \cdot c = b \cdot c , \quad \forall \, c \in \mathbb{R}$
- Axiomas de orden
- Ley de tricotomia.
Para dos números $a \in \mathbb{R}$ y $b \in \mathbb{R}$, se cumple uno de los siguientes enunciados: $$a < b \quad, \quad a = b \quad , \quad a >b$$ - Ley Transitiva: $$a < b \: \wedge \: b < c \rightarrow a <c$$
- Leyes de Monotonía
- $a < b \rightarrow a + c < b + c, \quad \forall \, c \in \mathbb{R}$
- $a < b \wedge c > 0\rightarrow a b < b c, \quad \forall \, c \in \mathbb{R}$
- $a < b \wedge c < 0\rightarrow a b > b c, \quad \forall \, c \in \mathbb{R}$
- El conjunto de los reales positivos, $\mathbb{R}^+$ tal que $\mathbb{R}^+ \subset \mathbb{R}$:
- Si $a,b \in \mathbb{R}^+$ entonces $(a+b) \in \mathbb{R}^+$ y $a b \in \mathbb{R}^+$
- Para cada $a \ne 0$: $a \in \mathbb{R}^+ \veebar -a \in \mathbb{R}^+$
- $0 \notin \mathbb{R}^+$
- Ley de tricotomia.
- Axioma de supremo
Si $A \ne \emptyset \subset \mathbb{R}$ es superiormene acotado entonces $A$ tiene un supremo en $\mathbb{R}$.
